BOCHK Science and Technology Innovation Prize 2023 is an independent merit-based award sponsored by Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited. It celebrates scientific innovation that has global impact and encourages young researchers to pursue careers in science. The prize is open to any field of scientific research including but not limited to artificial intelligence and robotics, life and health, new materials and energy, advanced manufacturing and FinTech.
Researchers can submit their work through an online submission form. Those who are selected as finalists will be invited to present their ideas to a panel of judges, and the winning entry will be announced at an awards ceremony in October. Besides the top three prizes, there will be a number of other winners including those with special needs and the most promising research idea.

It is a project by Generocity, the world’s first crowdfunding platform for social causes, in partnership with the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine and other local organisations. This year, the prize aims to gather new perspectives on establishing an Official Development Assistance (ODA) program in Hong Kong. The prize carries a total of HK$5,000 in cash and a trophy. The winning submission will have the opportunity to work with a renowned overseas institution on further development of the concept.
