In Baccarat, the Player and Banker hands are dealt with two cards each. The goal is to make a total close to 9. The score is determined by the sum of all the pips in a hand. When the cards are dealt, each player places a bet and the dealer will play out both hands of cards.

This is partly due to the fact that a small number of high-rolling players drive the game’s action and that the game is favored by Asian gamblers.
